Rare blended rum made in Panama. Ron Abuelo Centuria matures in Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrels according to the solera method. Some rums are up to 30 years old and the flavor is surprisingly rich and strong. It is luxuriously packaged to celebrate the company’s successful first 100 years. The dark mahogany color and rich viscosity are delicate and full of flavor. Centuria is known as the “nectar of the gods” and it is quite possible that it is one of the best rums on earth.
The natural dark walnut color is evidence of the length of the ripening process.
Nose:
heavy sweet aromas of oak, vanilla, caramel, nuts, dried fruit, cinnamon, tobacco, leather and slightly smoky.
Taste:
extremely soft on the tongue with a mouth-filling rich deep complexity of flavors that can be guessed by the nose.
Aftertaste:
sweet, soft and firm texture of caramel and some leather in the finish.
