Dictador 12 years is produced in Colombia and matures using a solera system. Barrels are stacked with the youngest product at the top. The oldest product is at the bottom. Rum is tapped from the oldest product and then bottled. The rum tapped from the barrels is supplemented with rum from the barrels above. This way the ages are mixed together and the quality remains constant. Notes of almonds, marzipan, sherry and oak can be distinguished.
