Tasting Notes:
This whisky is the stuff tales are made of. The nose offers a fresh and aromatic experience with a subtle whiff of smoke floating through the air. The taste starts with a light fruit and nut appeal that leads to a spectacular malty sweetness, finishing into a beautifully rich full-bodied, lingering experience. Natural colour and unchill-filtered at 46.3%.

Introducing Arran

The Scottish island Arran got some hidden gems called Lochranza distillery. In this distillery they produce magnificent single malt whisky. A great Example of this is their 10 year old.

Colour: Tawny

Nose: Notes of citrus zest, pineapple upside-down cake and fudge introduce this year’s Springbank 21 year old. There is a savoury element in the notes of baked gam and tomato vine leaves, with subtle peat smoke coming through on the nose.

Palate: A tropical influence comes through on the palate in the notes of ripe mango, dried coconut and papaya, opening up to notes of liquorice, cola syrup, digestive biscuits, honey and a slight earthiness.

Finish: A long finish with notes of orange zest, campfire embers and caramel

Macallan 18 year old

The Bentley of the whisky

The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old, forms part of Macallan's Sherry Oak Collection which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.

Orkney was once ruled by the vikings.
