Distillation Process:
Sugar cane is grown on the distillery’s plantations and processed into molasses.
– NAGA Thailand Edition rum is distilled 5 times in columns.
– The rum is then matured in the distillery, in 200 liter ex-bourbon American oak barrels. To maintain a constant temperature, the cellar is located below ground level.
– The part that evaporates is still between 7% and 9% per year.
– The barrels are placed in a rack several times and refilled with an equivalent aged rum.
Tasting notes:
As it ages, the wood imparts a range of flavors, from the depth of vanilla and caramel to the subtle whisper of spice and vegetal notes.
