Don Papa Masskara owes its inspiration to a well-known Philippine festival called Masskara, which takes place annually in October and where people often wear colorful masks. This Don Papa is created from a pot still distillation after which the drink is further flavored with calamansi, honey and siling labuyo. Calamansi enriches this drink with notes of citrus, honey adds a sweetness and siling labuyo is a Philippine pepper that provides the necessary warmth.
The scent of Don Papa Masskara is reminiscent of honey surrounded by notes of citrus. Sweet and fresh acidity are tastefully balanced. Smooth, fruity flavors form the basis; hints of honey, candied fruit and citrus stand out. The aftertaste is long and rich with hints of spice
