This rum was distilled in a column still in 2007, produced from molasses and matured in an ex-bourbon barrel. This single cask spent 10 years in the tropical climate of El Salvador before crossing the Atlantic Ocean to mature for another 3 years in Europe. A unique bottling that is bottled at cask strength.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Fruity and notes of smooth tobacco, walnut, licorice.
Taste: Soft and refined. Coconut milk, cloves, mahogany.
Finish: Medicinal and long. Molasses, vanilla and orange peel.
