Johnnie Walker Double Black 70cl is a smoky whisky that continues where the regular Johnnie Walker Black Label 70cl stops. Expect powerful, intense and, above all, smoky flavors that provide an unprecedented experience. This blended whisky is composed of malt and grain whiskies from various regions of Scotland. Most of this comes from the west coast of the country, as well as the Scottish islands, where they are known for producing smoky whisky.

The Double Black is a creation of Master Blender Jim Beveridge who wanted to take the smoke content of Johnnie Walker Black Label to new heights. In addition to introducing more smoky whiskies, it was also decided to mature the whiskey in heavily charred barrels. These are barrels that are heated for some time at high temperatures, resulting in the oak wood opening up more to the liquid. This makes the flavors of this whisky even more intense.

However, Johnnie Walker Double Black offers more than just smoke. Think of seductive influences of apple, pear and citrus complemented by the best of vanilla and spices. In combination with the smoke and peat, this creates a lively character, different from all other Johnnie Walkers but definitely worth discovering.
