Jack Daniels is the most popular whiskey in the range of this beloved American whiskey brand. This is a real Tennessee whiskey, because the Jack Daniels passes through a maple charcoal filter after distillation to soften the flavors. This step is not allowed in the production of bourbon, which is why Jack Daniels cannot be called bourbon whiskey.
After filtering, the drink is laid to rest in barrels that are made at the distillery itself. The maturation period provides the Jack Daniels with character, which is only bottled when the color is correct and the taste is optimal.
