Elijah Craig Straight Rye is a chestnut brown rye whiskey from America. Its grain composition consists of 51% rye, 35% corn and the remaining 14% malt. After the distillation process, it was allowed to mature for some time in lightly charred oak barrels. It has a very pleasant and rich aroma, consisting of notes of dark chocolate, various herbs and just a hint of smoke. On the tongue you will find a blend of various baking spices, a thick layer of honey and a soft hint of oak in the background. Rounded off by a long lasting aftertaste. Elijah Craig Straight Rye has an alcohol content of 47%.
