Douglas Laing’s The Gauldrons. Made exclusively in Campbeltown and matured in very small barrels. This Halloween edition is non-chill-filtered and not colored, as nature intended. This blended whiskey starts with a soft aroma of sweet grains, with a small hint of iodine and sweet spices. His taste is more focused on coastal characteristics. A salty taste with peat and oak followed by salty caramel. In the background of these strong dominant flavors you taste a bit of brown sugar and smoky barley. The Douglas Laing’s The Gauldrons comes in a black case with gold accents. A spider web is depicted on the black of the tube and a compass in gold with a spider in the middle, to remain in the Halloween atmosphere and with regard to the description of the Gauldrons, which translates to Bay of Storms.
