Jura 12 years is a delicious single malt whisky that has been matured for a total of 12 years. This Jura whisky is known for an excellently balanced character that it obtains as a result of the barrel maturation that this whiskey undergoes. Initially, a long maturation takes place in ex-bourbon barrels and these barrels enrich the whisky with hints of (tropical) fruit and herbs. The contents are then transferred to ex-sherry casks which add rich, sweet layers, creating a tasty balance.
Due to the maturation method used, Jura 12 years is an excellently balanced whisky that stands out in terms of smell due to layers of chocolate, walnuts and citrus fruits. Sweet flavors open in the mouth surrounded by a salty touch, notes of brown sugar and hints of smoke in the background.
