The name of The Dalmore Cigar Malt immediately gives you an idea of the ideal addition to this whisky; a good cigar. This single malt whiskey was initially in ex-bourbon barrels, after which it was transferred to a mix of ex-Matusalem sherry barrels and ex-cabernet sauvignon barrels; both barrels give an interesting flavor twist to the whisky. The body, structure and character of this whiskey ensure that a nice interplay is created when you combine it with a cigar.
The aroma slowly develops hints of vanilla, caramel and subtle notes of red fruit. In the taste you will discover lively notes of tropical fruit, banana toffee and creamy hints of vanilla ice cream. The aftertaste of Dalmore Cigar Malt combines orange zest, dark chocolate and spices.
