Cardhu Amber Rock is a single malt that undergoes double maturation in American oak barrels. This is done to create a full-bodied whiskey that is rich in a tasty balance between vanilla, citrus and oak influences. This is a whiskey that you can enjoy neat or on the rocks, but it is also an excellent choice for mixed drinks and cocktails.
The scent combines hints of apple and cinnamon with a hint of honey, orange zest and layers of vanilla. Lemon, caramel, vanilla, oak and honey follow each other on the palate and lead to a slightly dry aftertaste that contains a bitter note.
