The Wee Beastie tells the story of a small and quirky creature who calls the peatlands of Islay home. This creature is wild and outspoken. It enriches the peat soils with a special ‘bite’ that comes to life in your glass. In the Ardbeg 5 years Wee Beastie you can taste all the good things about this beloved distillery. Smoke predominates, but there is much more to discover in this whisky.

In addition to the robust, smoky flavors, a particularly balanced character is noticeable. It is known that at least ex-sherry barrels were used for maturation, so that sweets and herbs balance this tastefully. In the scent of the Ardbeg Wee Beastie you will encounter full notes of black pepper in combination with pine resin and smoke. Rich and full in the mouth: chocolate, tar, ash and salty notes are in balance. The aftertaste is long and combines salty with a little sweet and hints of juicy meat.
