it's smooth and layered. Sweet malt and vanilla notes come through first, followed by richer dried fruit flavors—raisins and dates—mixed with light caramel. There’s a gentle spiciness, with hints of pepper and oak, balanced by a delicate touch of smoke that remains subtle, adding depth without overpowering the sweetness.

Wolfburn 10 Year Old is a well-rounded, complex whisky, combining sweet, fruity, and slightly smoky notes with a smooth, maritime character. It’s an elegant dram, with enough depth to intrigue experienced drinkers, while remaining approachable for those newer to single malts. hopefully the 2024 edition will have less sulfer on the nose. After some time with this bottle and drinking it, oxidation allowed the sulfur notes to fade into the background, making room for more prominent fruity and caramel flavors.
