Nose:
A sweet mix of rich citrus fruits and tropical fruits. Orange peel, dried fruits, cinnamon, ginger and toffee apple. Layers of vanilla, milk chocolate and figs open into tropical fruits and subtle green wood.
-
Palate:
Lighter and delicate then the nose suggested. But warm with spice as cracked black pepper and cloves join with hints of milk chocolate, brown sugar, oak and nuts. Finally, Maple syrup, molted toffee, black liquorice and brandy snaps come through.
-
Finish:
Long, full and warm and a wonderful mixture of rich fruits, spices and sweetness.
-
Conclusion:
The Macallan Edition No.2 is a Single malt whisky that's satisfied your palate in many ways. This is an edition that is well worth the money they sell it for. This outstanding collection between master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno and the El Celler de Cam Roca is something unique and you can taste this back in your glass.
