Nose:
On the nose sweet and smooth a combination between crispy tropical fruits like pineapple, apricot, peach and citrus fruits like pears, lemon and oranges. Lots of balanced vanilla and honey. Hints of heathery wild flowers, soft smoke, spices and burned wood.
-
Palate:
The same beautiful, delicious and complex flavors from the nose are also noticeable on the palate. A creamy mouthfeel with lots of balanced vanilla and honey. Combination between tropical fruits and citrus fruits. Also roasted almond, licorice root, spices and hints of delicate smoke.
-
Finish:
Long and complex with a spicy but delicate tropical and citrus fruits driven single malt. Hits of smoke and roasted nuts.
-
Conclusion:
This expression by Highland Park makes it taste like summer in a glass. I really enjoyed this single malt and definitely recommend this one. With a few drops of water this whisky shows even more of its tropical and citrus flavors.
