Taste note

    Light golden with copper highlights

  • Nose:

    On the nose we will have lots of port influence but also cinnamon, dried fruit like banana, rich forrest fruits as blackberries and cherries. Hints of nuts, chocolate and peat smoke.

  • Palate:

    On the palate the red and dark fruits come more present with enough port influence and dried fruits. Also on the palate vanilla custard, cinnamon bark, dark chocolate, Damsons. Hints of light peat smoke, burned wood, raisins and spices.

  • Finish:

    A medium long finish with red and dark fruit, dark chocolate, tart and burden oak with hints of peat smoke and spices.

  • Conclusion:

    This expression of Highland Park is a very special one. Within a beautiful wooden case in the form of a mountain the unique bottle is presented. This 15 year old single malt whisky from Highland Park is matured in Refill Port Seasoned Cask and you can taste the red and dark fruits and some complexity back in your glass. Rich, Sweet but complex and delicate at the same time.
