Glenfiddich Orchard
Experiment series no.5
Taste note
-
Colour:
Amber
-
Nose:
Smells like a garden full of fruit, light of different kind of apples, pears and honey.
-
Palate:
Quite thin and sour at the beginning - a bit hard, some tropical fruit, but more sour. I don't really taste a hint of the orchard, although some custard notes eventually creep in.
-
Finish:
medium length, warming, oak spice and some bitterness.
-
Conclusion:
Defiantly something new and fresh from Glenfiddich and makes you wonder what else they got up their sleeves. Overall a tin and watery mouthfeel. Maybe if they finished it longer there would be more complexity from the Somerset Pomona spirit.
