Nose:
Starts of with lots of sweet vanilla and ripe citrus fruits and tropical fruits like fresh pineapple and green apples. slowly turns into toasted malt, coffee, honey, caramel and vanilla.
-
Palate:
A fresh and creamy body with flavors of cereal, malt and citrus. Tropical fruits and freshly ground coffee, cinnamon, chocolate, honey and vanilla develops alongside dried fruits like banana with subtle herbal edge.
-
Finish:
Medium long finish with flavors of aniseed, vanilla and chocolate.

Conclusion:
A sweet and decent Benromach. The way Benromach makes the effort to make an organic single malt whisky is a big step forwards for other distilleries to follow the road in making more organic whiskies. Organic whisky isn’t one of my favorite but I do appreciate it.
