Plantation XO 20th Anniversary, the blended rum matured in oak barrels and finished in small French oak barrels for a period of 12 to 18 months.
This double maturation gives the rum room to develop fuller tones, which benefits the result. The precious contents of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary come in a beautiful decanter closed by a synthetic cork that perfectly seals the bottle. The carafe shows the seductively rich color of copper and makes you curious about the taste. Aromas of caramel and toasted coconut are followed by orange marmalade and hints of marzipan with tobacco. Notes of brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg provide balance and harmony on the nose. The taste is full and warming due to notes of spiced oak with a creamy honey/caramel flavor. Orange peel, marmalade and notes of dark fruit such as raisins, dates and plums are combined with notes of chocolate and vanilla.
