The Cigar Blend from Cognac Frapin is aged for only six months in new oak Limousin barrels for tannin and vanilla. The eau de vie then rests for at least 15 years in used red Limousin barrels on the damp clay floor. These barrels give the Cognac its warm color. Older eaux de vie are then added and the Cigar Blend matures for at least a few more years in the attics of the chai.
